Fog.  So much fog!  I saw some stars last night and thought we'd wake up to clear skies, but instead we woke up to more fog.  It was incredibly peaceful to walk in the cool, foggy morning; however, once again the fog got in the way of what I assume we're some awesome views.

Many Lakes Viewpoint - isn't the fog beautiful?

i love the fog over the water

this tree was interesting and I liked the spider web in the middle

After a mere 6 miles we stopped at Olallie Lake, where there was a little store.  Not only did we need more fuel but we also needed more snacks - I think the cold weather has us eating even more than before and I don't think Mary can fit that much food in the resupply boxes.

The inside of the Olallie Store was heated by a wood burning stove and it was warm and cozy inside.  There was a good selection of hiker snacks and I even got a hot chocolate/coffee to enjoy (and Nick got a beer).

As it was relatively close to lunchtime, Nick and I decided to eat by Olallie Lake. It was fun- we bought some queso dip, used our stove to heat it up, and ate it with chips.  Not the healthiest lunch but it was nice to spend time with Nick in the middle of the day.

the unhealthiest lunch ever

After lunch, the clouds and fog started to dissipate.  Nick caught up to me around 1600 and we walked together until my feet needed a break, so we took a quick break together, too.  Then Nick took off to set up camp.

Even though I thought I was going to be way behind, I bumped into Woodsmoke and walked with him the rest of the day.  I love how meeting new hikers completely takes my mind off my aches and pains - Woodsmoke and I talked so much that I was pleasantly surprised to find myself at the planned campsite a whole hour sooner than I thought!  Awesomeness!

ha ha - Nick left me a sign to make sure I didn't miss the spring.

Nick already had the tent up and was working on a fire when I walked up - this is a nice trend.  :)

i've never been on a reservation before
