Road Trip to Crazy Cook Day 2

After a quick breakfast, we left Monahans and drove another 5 hours to Hueco Tanks State Park.

Despite the insane winds, we spent a few hours walking around the self-guided part of the park. It felt wonderful to walk around after so much time on the road.

Scenes from around the Hueco Tanks:

No camping was allowed at Hueco because of a water issue, so we drove another hour to Franklin Mountains State Park to camp for the night.

We’re cowboy camping tonight, too, because there’s not really a good place to put our tent. I’m a little concerned about how windy it is, but that’s just part of the fun, right?
