First things first - summit Mount Baden-Powell.

It was beautiful up there and, since it was so early, we had it all to ourselves. :)

On the way to the summit we passed the Wally Waldron tree, estimated to be 1500 years old.  I think I would like a cool tree named after me
someday. :)

We had to go around yet another trail closure today, this time for an endangered frog.  There were several options we could have gone with but we chose the fastest and 'easiest' - a 7 mile road walk.  After the last road walk experience I was a little apprehensive but it turned out to be just fine.  The road wasn't too crazy busy (we were only annoyed by the 4 sports cars that sped by us multiple times) and it was curvy and scenic (so we didn't have to look down a seemingly endless, unchanging road).  We did have to walk through a few tunnels, which was fun. (Don't worry, we had our flashing headlamps on.)

The tunnel - see, it wasn't that bad!

Towards the end of the day we passed PCT mile 400!

And then we passed it again,

and again,

and again.

Obviously, some hikers couldn't figure out where exactly PCT mile 400 is.  After all that, I laughed out loud when I saw someone did this:

(For the record, the third 400 pic was probably the most accurate PCT 400 miles.)

We are at Camp Glenwood and have run into several hikers we haven't seen since Warner Springs!  Elizabeth/Dirt Squirrel and Needles, and Dasha and her husband (on their honeymoon!!).  Chatting with them was a good end to the day.

Along the trail:

i loved how this tree was right on the edge

More snow flowers!

Being above the clouds is awesome - cold but awesome
