Ahh, how nice it is to sleep in a legit bed and know that you can sleep as long as you want!  I still woke up at 0600 but was able to fall back to sleep for a few more hours. It was so nice!

I always think I'll get a lot accomplished on these zero days.  I have these grand plans to call people and catch up on emails and maybe even read a book; sadly, so far I'm failing myself.

Nick and I tried to figure out what we want/need for the Sierras (which are only a week away!!!) and we attempted to figure out a resupply plan for our time there; Turquoise and Ash Hole stopped by to see when we plan to go back to the trail; Ash Hole and Gopher came over a whole later to visit and to discuss the Sierras; Jeff popped in to say hello on his lunch break (and he brought me another apple!!); we ran into Double Down and the Lobbyist at the pool; We FaceTimed with Bess, Nate, Ben and Charlie; Half of the AT group (Double Down, Mash, Knee Deep, and The Lobbyist) came over and we decided to do dinner together; I forwarded my awesome sister Theresa several days worth of blog posts (seriously, it is SO incredibly helpful to have someone post to the blog for me.  I write everything in Notes and with a few simple taps they are in Theresa's email.  Theresa's the one who has to go through the pain of uploading everything.  Thank you again, Theresa!).  See, it was sort-of a busy day (but not really). LOL

(Note from Theresa- I am thoroughly enjoying getting to upload everything to the blog as it means I get to see everything first which makes me feel special ;)  Plus I get to add Beth's wind farm photos to my computer wallpaper, I LOVE wind farms!!!)

Jeff, my good college friend and roommate, stopping by on his lunch break to visit. I love this guy so much - oh how I've missed him!

Walking to dinner (there aren't many choices within waking distance so we settled on Anthony's Grill) was my first time outside the motel all day.  In my defense, my feet were a little tender this morning so I rested them as much as I could.  Our experience at Anthony's Grill was a little odd - it took a while for them to acknowledge us and take our orders - but the food was good and the company was great.

Dinner at Anthony's Grill - finally some decent Mexican!

Jeff stopped by to visit again on his way home from work.  It's so wonderful to have the time to catch up with him. What I love the most is how it feels as if no time has passed - we seem to be picking up right where we left off.  (Thank you thank you thank you Rebecca!)

After Jeff left, The Lobbyist, Double Down, Mash, and Knee Deep came over and hung out for a while.  I'm so glad they stopped by because I needed an excuse to stay up a little later than usual - Nick and I are planning to night hike tomorrow (the heat has finally found us and temps are going to be in the 100s) and I'd like to sleep in as much as possible (although I just know I'm going to wake up at 0530/0600 like usual).

We just heard about a fire on the trail between here and Kennedy Meadows - Chimney Creek - so who knows how that is going to impact our hike.  It's too early to say anything for sure, though - I guess we'll be figuring that out tomorrow.  It's all part of the adventure.  :)

This is the first I've seen of the Tesla charging stations! So cool!
